Helmet Cross CGM 601G Track Orange
Article information
The CGM 601G Track cross helmet has an aggressive design with bright colours. The lines at the bottom of the helmet have been adjusted so that this helmet can be used in combination with a stabilizing neck collar. The inner lining is removable and washable. The air inlets are provided with mesh on the inside, which ensures that mud and sand cannot enter.
Polycarbonate shell
A polycarbonate outer shell is relatively cheap to produce, which makes the helmets affordable. The helmet is produced by using a mould where the material is poured and compressed. By using plasticizers, the plastic becomes elastic. Through exposure to UV-light and various weather conditions, these plasticisers deteriorate. This means that a polycarbonate helmet should be replaced after approximately 5 years.Front and/or rear ventilation system
The ventilation system consists of air inlets at the front and/or rear. Through air channels in the inner shell, the incoming air is guided through the helmet. In this way, the rider experiences a constant air flow which also guarantees a pleasant temperature inside the helmet.Perimetrical rim
The outer shell is finished with a plastic rim. This not only provides a neat finish but also offers protection to the outer shell. If the helmet is dropped on the ground, it is not immediately damaged.Removable inner lining
The inner lining is attached to the inner shell by snaps or velcro. The removable inner lining can be washed with neutral soap. In this way, the lining remains in good quality and the helmet fresh. In addition to the inner lining, the cheek pads are also removable.Sun visor (attached)
This sun visor is attached to the helmet by bolts. If required, the visor can be removed with tools. The main function of the sun visor is to protect the driver from sunlight. This sun visor is often found on cross helmets. The visor also protects the driver from splashing mud.Double D-Ring Fastener
The double D-ring lock is especially well-known in racing. Because the chinstrap goes through 2 rings and returns through the first ring, the buckle is blocked. On some racing circuits, a helmet with this fastener is required. Besides racing helmets, the more expensive jet helmets also have this buckle.Average weight size M +/-1300gr
The weight of the helmet depends on the type of helmet. A jet-helmet is generally lighter than a system helmet. Glass fibre is also lighter than polycarbonate. The helmet is often measured in size M without visor. The second number on the sticker at the back of the helmet indicates the weight of the visor.Sizes XS-S-M-L-XL-XXL
The size of the helmet is determined by the number of centimeters of head circumference. The size is measured with a measuring tape above the ears along the widest part of the head. The number of centimeters determines the size. The sizes are however an indication. This is no guarantee that the helmet will fit. ECE 22-05 certification

This certification meet of a number of minimum requirements that a helmet must pass. The ECE certification can be found on the label attached to the chinstrap.Specifications
