Polycarbonate shell
A polycarbonate outer shell is relatively cheap to produce, which makes the helmets affordable. The helmet is produced by using a mould where the material is poured and compressed. By using plasticizers, the plastic becomes elastic. Through exposure to UV-light and various weather conditions, these plasticisers deteriorate. This means that a polycarbonate helmet should be replaced after approximately 5 years.Front and/or rear ventilation system
The ventilation system consists of air inlets at the front and/or rear. Through air channels in the inner shell, the incoming air is guided through the helmet. In this way, the rider experiences a constant air flow which also guarantees a pleasant temperature inside the helmet.Perimetrical rim
The outer shell is finished with a plastic rim. This not only provides a neat finish but also offers protection to the outer shell. If the helmet is dropped on the ground, it is not immediately damaged.Long Visor with anti-scratch treatment
The visor can be damaged during use. The small scratches can reduce visibility on sunny days. The anti-scratch coating makes the visor less prone to damage. However, do not let sharp objects such as jewellery or keys come into contact with the visor. Because of the coating, the visor should only be cleaned with water and dish soap. Use of strong detergents can damage the coating.Luxury inner lining
The inner lining is more luxurious compared to the standard lining. The lining is made of refined materials and has a luxurious look. The colours of the lining match the exterior of the helmet. The luxury lining can often be found on the more expensive helmets.Removable inner lining
The inner lining is attached to the inner shell by snaps or velcro. The removable inner lining can be washed with neutral soap. In this way, the lining remains in good quality and the helmet fresh. In addition to the inner lining, the cheek pads are also removable.Perforated inner lining
The ventilation system in the helmet ensures a constant air flow. Through the perforated inner lining, this air, which enters through the air channels, can also reach the skin. This way it always stays cool inside the helmet. In winter, the ventilation system can be closed so no air enters the helmet.Extra soft inner lining
By using softer materials compared to the standard lining, the helmet provides even more comfort. During a long ride, the soft lining is absolutely noticeable.Micrometric buckle
The micrometric buckle is the most frequently used buckle on helmets and easy to use. The rattle buckle ensures that it can be adjusted to the correct position. The buckle is easily opened by pulling the red loop.Helmet graphics with scratch resistant varnish
Each helmet is carefully treated to achieve the right finish. After the helmet has been smoothed, it is sprayed in several layers of colour. Then the helmet is covered with water-based graphics. Finally, the helmet is covered with a transparent scratch-resistant lacquer.Sun visor (attached)
This sun visor is attached to the helmet by bolts. If required, the visor can be removed with tools. The main function of the sun visor is to protect the driver from sunlight. This sun visor is often found on cross helmets. The visor also protects the driver from splashing mud.Removable cheek pads
In addition to the inner lining, the cheek pads can also be removed. These are attached with velcro or several press-studs. Washing the cheek pads with neutral soap will keep them fresh. Make sure that the cheek pads are dry when they are put back into the helmet.Removable chin protector
The chin guard must ensure that the chin strap does not come in contact with the neck. This can cause an irritated feeling. The chin guard can be removed and washed if necessary.Sizes XS-S-M-L-XL-XXL
The size of the helmet is determined by the number of centimeters of head circumference. The size is measured with a measuring tape above the ears along the widest part of the head. The number of centimeters determines the size. The sizes are however an indication. This is no guarantee that the helmet will fit. Check per brand how the size is calculated.Click here to determine your helmet size.
Rear air system
This helmet is equipped with rear air extractors. The air circle is generated by exploiting the movement, which creates a negative pressure and pushes the hot air inside towards the back of the helmet from where it comes out through the rear air extractors. In this way, the pilot benefits from a constant recycling of air inside the helmet, which always guarantees a temperature.ECE 22-05 certification
If you want to participate in traffic on a moped, scooter or motorbike in Europe you are obliged to wear a helmet with the ECE certification. This certification meet of a number of minimum requirements that a helmet must pass. The ECE certification can be found on the label attached to the chinstrap.Specifications
